Laura Bresler

Psychologist, Ph.D.
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience of providing psychotherapy to young adults and adults. While integrating psychodynamic, family systems and cognitive behavioral therapeutic methods, my approach is interactive, supportive and always individually tailored.

I aim to offer practical solutions and to better understand how present day behaviors may be influenced by past experiences and family relationship patterns. I have expertise in treating anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, identity concerns, organizational & attentional issues as well as difficulties with adjustment to college.

In addition to working with adults in individual and couple therapy, I have extensive experience in treating college-aged students. I have advanced training in Couple and Family Therapy from the Cambridge Hospital Family Therapy Program. I worked with undergraduate and graduate students as a Staff Psychologist at the University of Chicago.
