I am an experienced licensed clinical social worker. I take an integrative approach to therapy, emphasizing treating mind, body, and spirit.
My clients seek a collaborative, comprehensive, and integrative mind-body-spirit approach to transform their anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, dissociation, life transitions, and everyday worries. I offer deep healing over symptom management. I am anti-racist and an LGBTQ+ ally. I have had the privilege of working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds. I am an experienced and competent therapist of Trans+ clients. I feel honored that my clients trust me to share their healing journeys.
In addition to being a licensed clinical social worker, I am a yoga and meditation practitioner. I tailor treatment to the individual and integrate various evidence-based therapy modalities to heal mind, body, and spirit. The result is creating lasting healing and change so my clients can live their fullest possible lives. I deeply see my clients through a bio-psycho-social lens, which acknowledges our biology, experiences, environments, and the legacies passed down to us. I utilize Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Spirituality, and DBT to create an effective treatment for my clients' unique needs. I value social justice and cultural competence, and welcome any questions or concerns in this area (or any other).
My 10-lb. hypoallergenic furry co-therapist Alec Eiffel, PupD often joins our appointments, unless you'd rather he didn't. Alec is a gentle and affectionate Yorkie mix. He is great at helping to heal parts during IFS sessions and is a teaching aid for PTSD psycho-ed. You can see his photo on my Psychology Today profile.
I believe that no one is more of an expert on your life and experiences than you are, of course! Sure, I have letters after my name and I know a lot of stuff that can help you, but ultimately healing is an inside job and helping people facilitate that deep inner healing is a privilege that I enjoy very much. I believe in empowering my clients as I support them.
I also think that there is room in therapy for the full spectrum of human emotions. Yes, things will likely get heavy and maybe even tearful as we connect with parts of you that are in deep need of our time, attention, and care, but you should also expect to laugh and smile. Growth and healing can actually be a really enjoyable and enriching experience! I love what I do and my goal is to help you love the healing process, too!
