Kyleigh Baker
I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric mental health. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse in an inpatient psychiatric facility. I leverage my education and training to deliver patient-centered care aimed at achieving the best outcomes for my patients.
I base treatment plans on evidence-based research for each patient. I work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, putting each patient's mental health and well-being first. As goals evolve, a patient’s treatment plan may also be adjusted.
During the initial visit, a thorough psychiatric evaluation is conducted alongside a physical assessment. Then, depending on the patient’s current and long-term goals, a plan is created. Each plan is patient dependent and may include lifestyle changes, addressing physical health concerns, and prescribing medications.
