Kristin Serowik, PhD
Each person has a unique experience and healing requires an individualized plan. Healing occurs through a combination of multiple different sources. Therapy can be one tool that can aid in growth that can alleviate suffering. Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. I believe that a critical component of therapy is a trusting relationship with compassion, feeling heard and seen. Working with someone who you trust to hear your experience and challenge you in positive ways.
I am a Yale and VA-trained clinical psychologist , licensed in CT and NY, who has over a decade of experience working with people struggling with addiction. Additionally, I have expertise treating anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and relationship distress. I approach therapy from a gender-affirming, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lens. I use an integrative approach that incorporates strategies from humanistic, relational and evidence-based therapies. My style is engaging, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.
