At any phase of life, challenges may present themselves, and we may find that we may not be able or prepared to manage them in ways that are healthy or productive. Taking the first step to reach out to gain support, and begin the process of healing and self care is a very important one. For over 20 years as a licensed clinical social worker, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help navigate mental health and life-related challenges using compassion, humor, and solution-based strategies. Regardless of what you may be struggling with, I believe in meeting clients where they are in their current life-situation, working with them collaboratively, helping them to feel safe, and supported in the treatment process. It is my priority to assist any individual, regardless of what challenges they may be facing, in finding pathways towards healing, and improved quality of life.
My work in schools and non-profit agencies has also allowed me the expertise and knowledge to support families navigate the special education process and unsure school-aged individuals obtain the support they need to succeed. School-based advocacy for any child facing adversity in their education is a personal strength in my practice. In addition, I have experience supervising and training clinicians and mental health workers in the field in a variety of settings.
I am currently providing on-line support only. I have flexible hours that will allow for school and work related schedules.
