Kristie Tse, LMHC-D
For as long as I can remember, I was the person who pushed through. I was the one who performed, produced, and held everything together even when life was falling apart behind the scenes. As a first-generation Asian American who built a career and became the family anchor long before I felt ready, I know how easy it is to confuse survival mode with strength. That lived experience shapes how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, real, and attuned to the pressures you don’t always say out loud.
I work with high-achieving young adults who look fine from the outside but feel exhausted on the inside. Specifically, I work with students who are juggling deadlines, family expectations, identity questions, burnout, loneliness, and the quiet fear that if they slow down, everything might fall apart. My style is steady and collaborative. I help you untangle the pressure, understand what’s actually driving your stress, and build a version of self-trust that doesn’t depend on perfection. You get a space where you can be honest, drop the mask, and finally talk about the things you usually keep to yourself.
If you’re a student who’s tired of pretending you “should be fine,” therapy can be a place where you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to hide how overwhelmed you are or figure everything out alone. If you’re ready to feel like yourself again (not the polished version, but the real one), I’d be glad to support you. Reach out today to create a life you can breathe in, not just push through!
