I'm Kris. I enjoy serving clients ages 14-65. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that clients have all the wisdom and capacity to heal after traumatic experiences. With the right help, we can all tap into the power of recovery - we are our own best healer and we heal in relationship to others - not in isolation. I am formally trained in Eye Movement Densensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), DBT, IFS, and Nature-informed therapy (NIT). I received my B.A. in Legal Studies with a certificate in Native American Indian Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst; a Masters in Educational Psychology Applied Developmental Science from the University of Virginia; and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver Four Corners Program. Collectively, this background has given me an integrated understanding of trauma from a social, cultural, neurobiological, nature-based framework.
