Provider Types

This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:

  • Counselors
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors
  • Licensed Professional Counselors
  • Pre-Licensed Professionals

At KR Counseling, our goal is to provide students with skills to better manage stress and anxiety, form healthy and lasting relationships, and help create a strong sense of self as they navigate life after college.

Our therapeutic approach is built on Brené Brown's research on shame and vulnerability, Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer's Mindful Self Compassion model, and the powerful impact of pets (including therapy dog, Fred, who is part of in-person sessions).

We strive to provide compassionate, honest, and direct connection in session. Our hope is to create a safe space to explore and challenge patterns or mindsets that aren't working, build access to vulnerability and compassionate curiosity, and move clients towards growth and self-acceptance.
