Provider Types

This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:

  • Clinical Social Work/Therapists
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors

To be Kindred is to have something in common that is unique or exceptional and to have someone else accept and acknowledge that part of you in an equally unique and exceptional way. At Kindred Counseling we offer support for children, teens and young adults and their families that need a place where their perspective can be shared by our staff and their authentic self can be celebrated.

We are a strengths-based group of mental health professionals who seek to help our clients appreciate their unique abilities or response to life circumstance. The client is at the center of support provided and is trusted and relied upon to be an active participant in their own social and emotional growth process. We work with you to identify and use the strengths you possess to achieve growth that promotes an authentic perspective of the world.

Forgoing the use of one “theory” fits all, we utilize eclectic practice to provide individualized care and support. We view life and its experiences as a valuable formative process. For this reason our areas of specialty include issues related to giftedness/high abilities, twice exceptionalities (gifted + anxiety, autism, ADHD, etc), major life transitions, existential issues, and anxiety and depression.

At Kindred we offer in person sessions at our office in Maitland. Through our work, we provide a secure and accepting space for our clients to learn to live in the world as they are and create lives filled with meaning, connection, and joy.
