Kimberly Wood
Maybe you’ve been feeling burnt out from school, stressed about the future, or unsure of who you are after a big change or loss. My goal is to help you find some calm and clarity when life feels overwhelming. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, family challenges, or healing from past experiences that still affect you, therapy can be a space to slow down and feel supported.
I work with students, young women, and parents, as well as families navigating foster care or adoption. I also support clients who are struggling with body image or eating disorders and want to rebuild a healthier relationship with themselves. Sometimes our work means exploring how early relationships or old patterns show up today; other times, it’s about learning practical tools to manage stress and emotions more effectively.
In sessions, I use approaches like EMDR, parts work, and attachment-based therapy to help you understand and heal deeper emotional wounds. I also integrate CBT and DBT skills to build coping tools you can use in everyday lif (like staying grounded, improving communication, and regulating emotions). We’ll go at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
I’m passionate about this work because I know how overwhelming and isolating it can feel to be experiencing emotional challenges during a life transition (especially while being a student). You don’t have to handle everything on your own.
If any of this sounds like what you need, I’d love to connect. Feel free to reach out by email or schedule a session or phone call consultation through my website.
