7/11/25- Kim is currently accepting new individuals in person and tele-health. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're unsure where to begin. You might find yourself thinking things like, “No one will understand,” “People will think I’m crazy,” or “I don’t know if I can really open up.” If any of that sounds familiar, you're not alone—and you're in the right place. In my work, I take a direct yet compassionate approach, helping clients face challenges with honesty, clarity, and support. I believe in creating a space where you can feel safe to explore what’s really going on—without judgment. I love what I do and am here to support you.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in school-based, home-based, and partial hospitalization settings. Additionally, I worked with men at a state correctional facility for six years, addressing challenges such as sexual and violent offenses, domestic violence, substance use, theft, and other related behaviors.
My approach is grounded in relational therapy, emphasizing the therapeutic alliance as a key factor in change. I integrate psychodynamic principles to examine early relational patterns, and draw from cognitive behavior therapy, reality therapy, existential frameworks, and other evidence-based modalities to support individualized treatment.
I am open and affirming of individuals of every background, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability status.
