My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental, warm, and collaborative space to help you navigate and process life's challenges. My clinical interests include working with individuals impacted by sexual assault. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, poor self-esteem/worth/image, domestic violence, and other trauma- and stressor- related disorders. My background includes working with children and teens in the foster care system and victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
By practice, I am a trauma-informed therapist and I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
I am very passionate about the therapeutic alliance and believe it is the driving force behind a positive prognosis. I believe it lends itself to positive and appropriate modeling, corrective interpersonal experiences, and general buy-in from the client to continue working on and improving their mental health and other areas of life.
