My name is Khoredia Thiam and I am a practicum student counselor here at Health in Mind. I am currently in my 2nd year of obtaining my master's degree in mental health counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. My goal is to provide services catered to adult and adolescent communities dealing with trauma and depression among other mental health issues.
My true passion for mental health stems from wanting to be an advocate for others and helping them find coping skills that best serve their needs. My populations of interest include individuals, couples, and adolescents. My style of therapy would utilize methods such as mindfulness, person-centered theory, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral theory.
