I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia with certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I also often practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with my clients, and have found the supplemental exercises to be very beneficial. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed as I meet you where you are and assess how I can best support you.
I graduated in 2012 with my master's degree in Social Work and have been a practicing social worker for the past 12 years. I have experience working in grief and trauma with children, families, and victims of crime. I have worked with survivors of sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence, addressing symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have also worked extensively with families and individuals experiencing homelessness, and people living with HIV. Whatever challenges you are facing, or personal obstacles, it is important to know that you are not alone.
I have worked and lived in the District since 2015 and am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. Alongside therapeutic modalities, I also incoroporate meditation and pranayama, or breath work, in my clinical practice.
