Kendra Peak
“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” -Brene Brown. My first goal as a counselor is to connect with you so we can work collaboratively. I believe therapy’s greatest power is providing a space safe enough for you to embrace your full experience of being human. I obtained my BS in Psychology and MS in Counseling after years of working with youth in foster care and individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. I provided clinical services at the Autism Center, and I now operate fully out of my own private practice to ensure that I can offer flexible services that will best support my clients.
I especially enjoy working with those who are neurodivergent and/or part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I offer trauma-focused services with EMDR-based healing. I specialize in childhood, religious, and sexual trauma. I am currently undergoing an AASECT recognized program to become a certified Sex Therapist.
Because there is not one counseling approach that fits all, I offer a varied style, which means your counseling session could look different from someone else’s or even different from the previous week. What stays consistent is my support of who you are and honoring the vulnerability and courage it took to engage in therapy in the first place.
