Are you feeling like you are sinking and you can’t seem to find a way to stop it? Perhaps you are experiencing intrusive negative thoughts or excessive worry. You don’t recognize yourself anymore and you struggle to get through the day. Whether you are dealing with overwhelming emotions, feelings of disconnection, or are simply unsure what direction you need to go in, you are taking a courageous first step by just looking for a therapist.

Imagine a space where you can communicate and express yourself authentically and freely. Within this space you can access the calm and centered version of yourself that usually feels so elusive. As you gain insight into your experiences, you may discover new ways of seeing yourself and the world. Creating this type of space is possible with support of the right therapist.

I am trained as a counselor and an art therapist. Depending on your need, sessions may be more traditional talk therapy focused, or we might choose to incorporate some artistic expression. The addition of art-making can provide an alternative way to communicate, gain insight, and relax. Whether talking or creating, I work from a trauma-informed perspective while integrating experiential, relational, and strengths-based approaches. What does that all mean? It means that I will be a guide and support for you as you learn to access your inner knowledge and strength on your path to self-discovery and well-being. Ready to see if I might be the right therapist for you? Let’s schedule a time to talk.

(I am in the process of becoming credentialed with Carefirst, and will be an in-network provider once this process is complete)
