It’s cliche but true that life is a journey. One in which we can hopefully take our time to explore different paths, feel connected in relationships, and find balance in the everyday. Yet just like wandering in our natural world, this journey can be full of twists and turns, brambles, steep ascents, and slippery descents. At times, you may feel alone, stuck, exhausted, or simply too overwhelmed to want to keep moving. In these situations, therapy can help.
In particular, I view therapy as a space for healing, reflection, and change. One in which we can better outfit you with the skills and perspectives you need most for the journey you are on. Regardless of how you are hoping to grow or heal, my style is process driven and rooted in self-guided meaning making. I take a culturally-attuned and trauma-informed approach. Understanding that even as you are shaped by social and cultural contexts, you are a unique individual and the expert on your own identity.
I consider myself to be an eclectic practitioner with a cultural-relational focus, integrating various therapeutic approaches in order to meet each person’s needs. Above all, I believe healthy relationships are fundamental to emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive growth. That being said, a few styles that guide my work are Emotions-Focused, Attachment, Acceptance and Commitment, and Cognitive-Behavioral.
My ultimate hope is that our work together will both allow you to feel safe showing up just as you are, and support you in finding growth as your most authentic and free self. Reach out for a free consultation! I look forward to connecting with you to see if we are a good match.
