Kelly Brown (Perspectives Therapy Services)
Fortitude: “strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain and adversity with courage.”
This courage is something we all carry, but oftentimes the weight of the challenges we face can be too much to carry alone. I believe in the power of having teammates that we can call on for support- people who can help empower us to put one foot in front of the other. I strive to be a great teammate. I am passionate about empowering others, and I am intentional in my learning and growing to help foster the success of those around me. I look forward to being a source of support for you as we engage on this journey together!
-----
Sports have always been a large part of my life and often drive the work that I do. Really, sports can be a great metaphor for life. They have the power to be more than just a game, a match, a meet, or an event; they are able to teach us things we never thought we needed to know.
We often learn and grow through the games we love. As players in the game of life, we often get hit with curve balls. We can suffer from lows and rejoice in the highs. There are elements of the game we can control and others that we just have to be present for and ride out for a while.
I believe in a collaborative and strengths-based approach to therapy because no one knows you better than yourself. My goal is to empower each client to draw on their strengths in order to navigate through the challenges one may face in the game of life. I strive to foster a holistic environment in an effort to see challenges from all angles. Often, what affects us “off the field” translates to the work we do on it.
