Welcome. My name is Dr. Kelly Aissen (my last name rhymes with Jason!); however, please call me Kelly. I have been working as a counselor in Gainesville, FL for 22 years. My experience includes counseling on an addiction treatment team and as a clinician in Private Practice counseling adults, couples, & families.
My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and safe space to be who you are authentically! A place to feel heard and not have to worry about looking or sounding right. There are never an topics or language off limits. Space for you to be you, in any form is the goal.
I aim to engage clients in their process of personal growth and meet them where they are. Various interventions are used to meet the diversity of my clientele. My personal approach to therapy is supportive of self-care and the influences of family & environmental contexts.
