Hello there! I'm Keionna, a licensed counselor in Georgia, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Alaska. I wear many hats in my professional life, including being a certified professional clinical supervisor, a certified Enneagram coach, a master addictions counselor, and a Level III Gottman therapist working towards full certification. I'm also a proud member of the Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor Association. Currently, I'm pursuing my doctoral degree in Community Care and Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family from Liberty University. I hold an advanced degree in mental health counseling from Argosy University, Nashville, which I received in June 2011, and I graduated summa cum laude from both degree programs, including my undergraduate degree in social work from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.

I am deeply passionate about providing counseling within the Christian faith, particularly focusing on helping individuals navigate their relationships. I often use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in my practice. I specialize in working with those needing assistance coping with depression and anxiety and assisting adults who have experienced childhood trauma. I am committed to constantly expanding my knowledge and honing my skills in these areas through ongoing education and training. Recently, I have achieved certifications through the YEC Enneagram Coaching Program, Gottman Institute, PESI, and Evergreen Certifications, all of which have been pivotal in enhancing my expertise. Additionally, I have undergone extensive training in addictions and co-occurring disorders and hold certifications as a master addictions counselor.

My professional journey began in social work with the Department of Children Services as a child protective services investigator. After gaining experience, I transitioned into a supervisory role. In 2012, I moved into the behavioral health sector, where I focused on addressing mental health concerns within disadvantaged communities. During this period, I worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families and maintained ties with the Department of Family and Children Services by providing comprehensive child and family assessments for the court in cases of abuse and neglect. I also facilitated multidisciplinary team meetings for the agency.

Later, I became the supervisor for the agency’s Intensive Family Intervention Program, which offered the highest level of care for at-risk children and families in a community setting. In 2017, I joined the Magellan Health team as a Military and Family Life Counselor, specifically focusing on issues affecting the military community. In this role, I worked with individuals of various ages, from 3-5-year-olds in the Child Development Centers (CDC) to school-aged children in the CYB, as well as adults and families in rotational positions in both Georgia and New York. I eventually advanced to become a regional supervisor and clinical project manager for the program.

While working as a military counselor, I decided to establish a private practice in 2018. Reflections of Hope Behavioral Health is a faith-based practice that embodies my passion and commitment to supporting individuals within a specific demographic that aligns with my skill set.

As a military spouse, I take great pride in being the partner of a recently retired 22-year Army veteran. My spouse and I have been together since high school, and we've had the joy of raising three amazing children. In my free time, I find fulfillment in volunteering with my local church's women's and couples’ ministries. I also enjoy hosting therapeutic crafting events virtually, creating delicious meals and baked treats for my family and friends, making tumblers, and honing my skills in integrating mental health care into my Cricut crafting projects.

If you feel that my background and approach resonate with you, I would be honored to work with you on your journey to healing and growth. Let's take the first step together.
