Kayona Merritt
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), I am passionate about providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals and families facing life's challenges. I specialize in working with foster parents, individuals navigating pregnancy, those struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, allowing clients to develop practical tools and insights for lasting change. I believe in the power of play therapy, especially when working with children, as it offers them a voice.
Outside of the therapy room, I love to unwind by diving into a good book or binge-watching a show on Netflix. Life is full of stories, and I find meaning in both the ones we live in and the ones we watch. If you're looking for support in overcoming personal challenges or making meaningful changes in your life, I would be honored to join you on that journey.
