Kayla Smiley is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. She earned a bachelor's degree in forensic psychology from Western Illinois University and a master's degree from Lewis University. Kayla utilizes a behavioral approach which focuses on helping clients develop insight into their behaviors, as well as healthy skills to manage distressing emotions to increase one's quality of life. She uses a variety of techniques such as DBT, ACT, CBT, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help clients live a healthier life.

Kayla enjoys working with teenagers and adults and utilizes different techniques within sessions to help clients feel safe and supported. Taking the necessary steps to begin therapy can be challenging and evoke different emotions as you maneuver through the process.
