Katie Scozzari, LCSW, CEDS
If you have found yourself questioning:
"Who am I? Where am I going? What the hell is my purpose? Why do I keep repeating these toxic cycles?”, you found the right therapist. I will help you learn concrete and intentional coping skills to build a life that is worth living and full of meaning and freedom from the mental carousel you’re on.
I specialize in treating eating disorders, trauma, anxiety & depression, perfectionism, and those who are looking to explore their purpose more deeply. I use mindfulness based therapy and solution focused interventions to help you gain more control over your mind & body, emotions, and relationships, so that you can live presently and intentionally.
I am a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist with 14 years of experience treating eating disorders, complex trauma, anxiety & depression, chronic shame & perfectionism, and those who are looking to explore their purpose more deeply. I use mindfulness based therapy and solution focused interventions to help you gain more control over your mind & body, emotions, and relationships, so that you can live presently and intentionally.
I have specific and advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, & compassion focused and mindfulness based therapies. I strive to create a safe, supportive, healing environment and describe my style as grounded, non-judgmental, irreverent, and authentic. I’m kinda funny too!
I love to incorporate mind/body practices with intuitive eating principles to help clients achieve full food/body image recovery and freedom. I have experience working in various treatment settings where I assisted with curriculum and program development, and research surrounding the treatment of eating disorders.
