My approach to treatment is to create a space that is supportive and empathetic so that the client will be in a place to build rapport, explore issues that are interfering with their quality of life, and develop a better sense of goals and the means to reach them. I operate from a Strength-based and Cognitive-behavioral therapy lens with elements of other modalities.
I am a strong believer in using mindfulness when approaching issues like anxiety and depression. I see the client as a person affected by the systems that make up their lives. I understand the importance of family work as a part of the process of helping an individual.
The most important aspect of treatment is the relationship between the therapist and the client. Without trust, it is impossible to get any real work done. When you walk into my office you can expect a space that is free of judgment and completely client-centered.
