Katie Burns
It can be really overwhelming searching for the right therapist, especially with the amount of help available. It may even add to the stress, anxiety, and indecision you’re already feeling. You may have an idea of what you’re coping with or may be unsure. Perhaps you have had some experience in therapy or this is your first time - maybe you feel you’ve tried everything and still no relief. No matter where you are in your mental health journey, I hope to provide you with your own unique treatment experience. I am a licensed clinical psychologist based out of Evolve Counseling and Wellness and I specialize in helping people to get relief from OCD, anxiety, phobias, negative body image, disordered eating, and trauma.
I use evidence-based practices that have been shown to be effective, while remaining sensitive to the impact of the world we live in on each client's presenting concerns, identity, and individual situation. I tailor interventions to help you to get unstuck, get in touch with your resilient self, and be able to live the life you want to live.
I also incorporate context, choice, collaboration, and connection in the therapy space. I believe your trust must be earned, and I work to build a supportive, warm, and transparent environment that promotes growth, autonomy, and exploration. It takes effort and vulnerability to feel better and I am here to support you as you navigate towards improved health.
