Kathy Le
As a person of color with three years of experience providing therapy in private practice and community mental health settings, I help underserved communities and beyond navigate life transitions, relationship issues, identity issues, self-esteem, and stress management, with a focus on youth, adolescents, and young adults.
Bringing compassion and inclusivity to my work allows me to be a supportive partner to every patient I work with. I look forward to deepening our understanding, together with you, of how our emotions, thoughts, and feelings shape who we are today.
Authenticity, collaboration, and inclusivity are at the heart of how I work. As a social worker specializing in play therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and person-centered care, I'm passionate about advocating for your needs while helping you build the coping skills to meet them. In session, I bring an open mind and use CBT and DBT to help you understand your emotions and feelings, and work through unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. This style is holistic, and tailored to your unique goals and needs at all times.
My path to becoming a therapist began with aiding foster care youth, and eventually youth and adolescents in private practice settings, during my internship experiences in graduate school. Born and raised in Colorado, I have always been around young people, growing up volunteering in community settings and helping care for younger siblings and family. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing respectful, caring support that meets each patient's needs, and it's what led me to want to continue bringing mental health awareness to all walks of life. I bring that same open-mindedness and kindness to each session with you.
Pickleball and tennis with friends are some of my favorite ways to unwind. I also enjoy trying new restaurants and coffee or boba shops with loved ones, going to concerts, shopping, gaming, and exploring everything my home state of Colorado has to offer. And a good karaoke night with friends or family is always a win!
