Kathryn (Kate) Nesbitt, APRN, CNP, PMHNP-BC is an ANCC board certified psychiatric -mental health nurse practitioner treating the lifespan. Kate has over nine years of experience in outpatient community mental health, telepsychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, dual diagnosis treatment, addiction treatment, and administrative nursing with an additional six-year background in critical care and inpatient psychiatric nursing. Kate provides a patient centered holistic approach with empathetic listening that incorporates the patient in the decision-making process for personalized care. Kate is passionate about community mental health and reaching underserved areas through advances in technology. Aside from clinical patient facing practice, Kate also teaches, precepts psychiatric nurse practitioner students, and trains new providers in several areas. Kate is a classically trained dancer who believes practicing psychiatry is an excellent way of combining her love for the arts and passion for helping others. Outside of her medical practice, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, swimming, rowing, snuggling with her two dogs, and listening to true crime podcasts.
