As we grow and develop as humans, we often find ourselves confronted by issues from the past – issues we may have thought long-resolved. These issues can manifest in our relationship dynamics, our perceptions about ourselves, and our means of coping with our environment. Through a culturally sensitive and queer affirming lens, my role is to join you in confronting these things so that you can integrate and learn the lessons these past experiences are meant to teach you. In our work together, you are the expert. You decide what your experiences mean and how they impact the person you are.
I am well-versed in various theoretical approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. Additionally, I have supported individuals who struggle with power dynamics, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, depression, autism, OCD, eating disorders, domestic violence, ADHD and, LGBTQI+ issues.
I firmly believe that by incorporating a sense of humility and authenticity in my therapy sessions with you, the atmosphere will be balanced and healthy. This can positively impact our sessions and can change a person’s life for the better. As a professional, I always keep in mind that just as you are learning from me, I am also learning from you.
