I work with the body/mind connection and specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, body image & self-esteem, and chronic stress where the focus is to provide education and empowerment around the mind-body connection. We learn to understand our body/mind have learned a way of survival that may no longer serve us. Therapy allows for the body and mind to create space from imprinted thoughts & emotions in order to see choice in self-talk, belief system, behaviors, and gain acceptance of ourselves. We learn how to rewire/rewrite our narrative through self-compassion. Therapy is not an easy process and I know what it’s like to be on the journey.
My goal is to empower individuals in recognizing their choices during moments when the body and mind are stuck in fear. Through trauma focused modalities, we process past and present stuck imprints to bring the body and mind back to a balanced state. We learn how we’ve been conditioned to survive and how that survival mode may no longer serve us.
Modalities: EMDR (group and individual), mindful CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Yoga. I believe therapy is an active process. I am here to reflect, support, and be a guide while clients understand their needs and what is best for them. I also believe that laughter is a wonderful medicine while we sift through and unravel past conditioning.
