I believe the relationship between client and therapist is what is most important in the therapeutic process. Feeling safe and comfortable is what will allow you to challenge yourself to be vulnerable. Building trust together is what makes the works we will do transformative.
My 19 years of work experience thus far has prepared me in various ways to be a support to others. Most recently, I have worked directly with the college student population at a local university. My efforts with college-age students have reminded me just how difficult the transition between high school and the world, between youth and adulthood, can be. Navigating those decisions, molding a new identity, and learning about responsibility: these challenges require empathy and encouragement.
My focus is a time limited therapy—understanding the root of the issues occurring and offering tools and support to ultimately make myself obsolete. I work out of an emotion focused lens, offering EMDR to manage and treat those destructive, rooted themes that arise in one’s life.
I believe in the work I do. I believe change is possible because I have seen it, and I have lived it. There is nothing more exciting for me than to witness another’s curative process. Congratulations on taking this step towards joy and serenity, towards a more conscious, self-assured way of living.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
