Karos Counseling
College can look manageable from the outside while you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the experience you thought you would have. Maybe you are falling behind, avoiding classes, procrastinating until panic sets in, struggling to get out of bed, worrying constantly, or questioning whether you belong. You do not have to wait until everything falls apart before asking for support.
I work well with students dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low motivation, perfectionism, OCD, relationship difficulties, identity-related stress, or major life changes. I also support student-athletes navigating performance anxiety, confidence, pressure, setbacks, and the challenge of balancing their sport with the rest of college life.
My style is warm, honest, practical, and collaborative. I also use humor when it fits. Serious work does not require every moment to feel heavy, and laughing together can sometimes make it easier to step back and see a problem differently. I specialize in TEAM-CBT, which means we will take time to understand what you are experiencing, agree on what you want from therapy, and use methods fitted to your goals. We will talk about what is happening, but we will also actively work toward meaningful change.
Most appointments are virtual. Depending on where your college is located, occasional in-person sessions may also be available. Because I can provide therapy in multiple states, I may be able to continue working with you when you return home during academic breaks.
Take care,
Teddy
