Kailey Caruso
As a Clinical Social Work Candidate and Addictions Counselor Candidate, I specialize in mental health support and dual-diagnostic treatment for adults and adolescents. This support includes helping patients navigate co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns, stress and anxiety, perfectionism, emotion-regulation difficulties, and challenges in relationships or daily functioning. My experience also extends to supporting previously incarcerated individuals as they navigate their reintegration process.
No matter what you’re facing, we develop practical skills together for managing symptoms, creating meaningful life changes, and strengthening your relationships and self-understanding. I believe in meeting you wherever you are in each moment, whether you're processing challenges, celebrating strengths, building skills, or exploring new goals. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your journey!
My clinical approach is trauma-informed and holistic, recognizing the interconnectedness of your values, relationships, and life experiences. Using skills-based, strengths-based, and emotion-focused interventions, I support your healing and lasting change in a warm, goal-oriented space grounded in empathy and validation for your unique experience.
While I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I tailor interventions to align with your values, life context, and goals.
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own lived experience with mental health and a genuine passion for connection and growth. Volunteer work alongside my clinical experience has also deepened my understanding of our shared humanity, regardless of what we’ve been through or where we come from, and strengthened my commitment to compassionate, trauma-informed care. This combination of lived experience and clinical practice allows me to provide you with meaningful care.
I love traveling, exploring cute coffee shops and restaurants, golfing, board game nights, and anything involving quality time with friends and family.
