Julie Beckwith

Psychologist, PsyD, HSPP
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist. I believe in treating the whole person and working to gain a deeper understanding of my clients through exploring impressionable past experiences and dynamics and connecting them to daily life. I believe that we are all a culmination of our past experiences, which shape our current functioning. Sometimes we get stuck in dynamics with ourselves and others that cause issues. It is difficult to reach out, but I believe the power of fully knowing yourself leads to a more fulfilling life.

I practice primarily from an interpersonal, relational, and psychodynamic approach. Specific areas of experience and interest include: disordered eating; body image (health at every size); relationships with self and others; personality; LGBTQ & gender identity; multiculturalism; trauma; sexual assault; psychological testing and college student development.

I also provide psychological assessments for ADHD, Learning Disorders, Personality Disorders, and diagnostic clarifications. I also believe that some assessments can be additive to individual therapy. I provide Eating Disorder assessments to provide recommendations for treatment. I also provide assessments/letters for gender affirming surgeries and HRT.
