Julia Tucker Wood
Finding a new therapist can be hard. I believe that the most important part of therapy is having the right fit with the right therapist. In order to be open to the process you have to feel comfortable with your provider. Consider your first session an interview to see if we will work well together. Therapy should be a tool to find personal strengths and develop new resources. I believe that my years of experience have taught me what works and how to navigate when someone is stuck. I hope that I can be a part of your journey.
I love working with people that are ready to take a look at themselves and explore their relationships. Relationships take work and some times just need a little guidance. I work with all populations from new parents to couples. If you are ready to examine how you fit in the context of your friendships or relationships therapy could be a good place to start.
While I am trained in marriage and family therapy, I also work with individuals. Marriage and family therapists look at roles that people play and how their behavior affects and is affected by others in a family or relationship. I really enjoy working with teenagers and young adults as well as new parents as they explore new transitions.
I do offer telehealth therapy and online scheduling. Contact me for more information.
