Accepting clients Last Updated 12 days ago

I work hard to meet my clients where they’re at, recognizing that our existence doesn’t happen in a vacuum – our identities have an impact on the way we move through the world and the supports and resources we have access to while we do so. My approach to therapy is made up of a combination of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused techniques, and harm reduction, but I am always learning and growing along with the needs of my clients. Using this approach I aim to empower all of my clients, especially those from marginalized communities, to navigate their specific life experiences, heal from trauma, and cultivate courage, all while validating the significance of their identities and experiences. My clients are the experts of their own experience, and my goal is to ensure that every client feels seen, heard, and valued in our therapeutic journey. I am deeply passionate about making therapy accessible to everyone, irrespective of their socioeconomic status, as I firmly believe that mental health support should be a fundamental right, not a privilege.

My therapeutic framework is rooted in anti-racist, LGBTQAI-affirming, sex work-honoring values. I am committed to inclusivity, growth, and healing in a compassionate and non-judgmental space for all of my clients.

Going to college can be both a wonderful and stressful time, and students’ experiences during this transition can often impact their mental and physical health as well as their ability to be successful. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade in higher education providing mental and behavioral health support for both traditional and non-traditional college students and helping them achieve balance between academic and personal growth in their collegiate journey. I love working with this population and am happy to help you work toward being the best learner you can be!
