Jose Rosario
I truly enjoy supporting clients in understanding themselves and their experiences through a compassionate lens. I am honored to support identity exploration (e.g., LGBTQ+, communities of color) in ways that move clients to the life that they want. I firmly believe that it is my job as a therapist to hold client's hope for them when they cannot hope for themselves. We can sit in the discomfort together and savor the moments that feel aligned. My goal is to provide clients with skills and tools to cope with the tough moments, knowing we cannot get rid of them, to live a full life.
I predominately utilize Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in clinical practice. However, I also employ expressive arts and trauma-informed modalities when appropriate. Our individual sessions will focus on steps to move towards goals and a life that aligns with your values!
It would be my pleasure to be on the journey with you. I also recognize how hard it can be to seek support, especially for the first time. I value communication and openness in our work together and look forward to supporting you wherever you are on your journey. I invite you to show up as you are and I will meet you there.
