Hey there! My name is John Cho. I use he/they pronouns. I am a queer Korean-American therapist NJ and NY licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, educator, and consultant who has over a decade of experience. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ people across different intersections of identity and BIPOC clients. My clinical approaches are informed by an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed framework guided by CBT and Emotional-Focused Therapy theoretical orientations. I can work with individuals and couples who are struggling with various issues, including but not limited to: exploring and navigating issues surrounding sexual orientation and gender identity, mood disorders including depression and anxiety, dealing with life transitions, issues surrounding racism, oppression, and identity exploration, substance use, body image issues and recovery from eating disorders.
