Provider Types

This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:

  • Clinical Social Work/Therapists
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors
  • Psychologists

In enhancing self-awareness we can learn how to cope and contend with many of life's challenges--and to begin to live with more ease. Clinican's at Birch Hill Behavioral Health use interventions that have been shown by research to be effective, in a flexible way. We tailor treatment for clients based on a shared and on-going discussion of inherent strengths, personal preferences, and psychological needs.

Our clinician's value a therapeutic style that is warm, yet interactive and direct. We believe in providing clients with a comfortable and safe climate to enhance personal insight, explore problematic patterns, learn practical skills, and make meaningful change. As a collaborative process, we highly value open discussion in therapy about what feels to be working well, and what feels to be less effective.

While we work with clients on many different issues, our clinicians have particular expertise in stress management, health psychology, disordered eating, problematic coping behaviors, and often co-occurring mood (i.e., Depression) and Anxiety Disorders.
