Jessica Effrig
I am a licensed counseling psychologist with a PhD from Penn State. I completed pre- and post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania. I particularly enjoy providing individual psychotherapy to undergraduate students.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, and my work is influenced by emotion-focused, multicultural/feminist and psychodynamic theories. I believe that creating safety within a non-judgmental environment is crucial to establishing a strong therapy relationship. I have particular expertise in working with women recovering from sexual and relational trauma.
