Hi! I am from West Virginia, but moved to Virginia to pursue my education at Liberty University, where I completed a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2012. After completing my degree, I worked on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital for 10 years.
I have experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide, mood disorders, anger management, parenting issues, adjustment difficulties, trauma, and more. I often utilize goal setting and achievement and a person-centered approach. I also borrows from multiple theories, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and others based which can be selected to meet your individual needs.
My greatest pleasure is helping others to recognize their God-given value and experience the restoration of joy. I find it a joy to integrate Scripture and prayer into your sessions if it is your desire. My priority in life is her own personal relationship with the Lord. I have been happily married for 11 years and have four children. I find joy in being involved in the local church, reading, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending time with her family.
