Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work, with an emphasis in Children and Youth, and a certificate in Animal-Assisted Social Work (AASW) from the University of Denver. I have experience working with high-risk youth and their families in Residential, Community-Based, Outpatient and Child Welfare settings. I have a passion for helping young people increase their resiliency and improve their relationships by gaining insight into their unique strengths and needs, learning new coping skills and improving communication styles. My specialty areas include trauma and attachment related issues, depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns and interpersonal conflict. I approach therapy from a client-centered, developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed perspective: with a focus on increasing self-awareness, empathy and healthy thoughts and behaviors. I maintain a holistic view of health and understand that considering all the factors which influence our daily lives (individual, familial, socioeconomic, cultural, spiritual, etc.) is essential to establishing realistic goals. I have experience utilizing interventions from trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment and strength-based approaches, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing and animal-assisted therapy, as well as principals from dialectical behavior therapy.
