Jennifer Uribe-Sanchez
Hola! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than half a decade of experience working with BIPOC youth, families and individuals with complex mental health struggles. In this work, I have gained a deep appreciation for the sacred space of therapy and feel committed to helping all of those who seek healing and growth in their lives. I strive to be a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed therapist and believe each person has a unique life story worth telling.
I believe in the power of healing through relationships by treating everyone with respect, kindness, and compassion. In our conversations I will use curiosity to engage you in a self-reflection process to help you feel validated and enable you to move towards your goals. My therapy style is warm and calm to help you move at your own pace through this journey. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, attachment-based and narrative therapy.
We will begin by talking about what brings you to therapy and from there identifying achievable goals to guide our work together.
Therapy is a place where you can bring all of your thoughts and experiences without worrying about judgement and explore how these things are currently serving you. Think of it as a safe space where you can analyze your emotions and experiences and learn new ways to engage and cope with life's challenges so that you can find more moments of joy and inner peace.
