I believe that being in therapy is about creating space for positive change. When we can slow down and make room for ourselves, we can grow and create lasting adjustments that make our lives more balanced and enjoyable.
I work collaboratively with clients, providing a safe and non-judgmental space to explore issues, problem solve, navigate life transitions, develop new and creative coping skills, and strengthen one’s relationship with themselves and with others. I specialize in helping with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction recovery. I also work extensively with artists of all kinds who are experiencing creative blocks or stagnation in their art/creative practices and life.
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art materials and the creative process to help people express, process, and integrate their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Art therapy is for everyone, not just people who identify as artists or have experience with the visual arts. Clients see me for talk therapy and or art therapy. All sessions are tailored to the preferences and goals of my clients. My approach is holistic and person-center, integrating traditional talk therapies and art therapy with mindfulness/body-based practices. I am a patient and compassionate therapist, who values humor and direct communication, dedicated to supporting my clients in their healing process and personal growth, enacting the changes they desire to see within themselves.
