JRB Therapy LCSW PLLC
Are you carrying the weight of being a first-generation eldest hija while trying to find your own path?
Te veo. Balancing school, family expectations, and your own needs can feel overwhelming. You may feel pressure to succeed, to make your family proud, and to hold everything together, while quietly feeling stretched or disconnected from yourself.
In our work together, we create space to slow down and check in with what you’re feeling and needing. Therapy becomes a place to explore who you are beyond expectations, while gently tending to the parts of you that have learned to push through or put yourself last.
My approach is trauma informed, relational, and culturally attuned, with attention to both your emotional experience and your body’s response to stress. We move at a pace that feels steady, supporting you in building self trust and a more grounded relationship with yourself.
I also provide psychological evaluations for immigration cases, conducted with objectivity, care, and cultural awareness.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York, and a first-generation eldest daughter of Colombian parents. My work is shaped by both lived experience and over a decade of clinical practice, offering a space that honors the complexity of your story.
