Life has its share of struggles, but by engaging in the therapeutic process, you are taking a meaningful step toward a healthier, and happier life. I am interested in working with you by meeting you where are you are being there to support you on your journey. I want to create a safe space where you will feel heard and respected. It can be difficult to seek out therapy and to be committed to self improvement; however, I will be there to help you find your answers, meet your goals, and support you through the good days and the challenging ones alike. I have an approach that is strength-based and client centered. My methods are drawn from many different disciplines, including mindfulness, cognitive, behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational, interviewing, as well as a fascination with neurobiology, and an interest in how the brain plays a role in everything we do. I believe that not only is change possible…but it is inevitable, and there’s always room for hope! I have spent the last 25 years focused on services within the world of child welfare, including learning, a great deal about trauma, attachment, and how early life experiences can leave a lasting impact on your body. This work has allowed me to gain experience with a wide variety of individuals and families, many from diverse cultural backgrounds with their own unique values. I enjoy helping adults with anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, trauma, adjustment disorders, parenting issues, relational conflict, ADHD, and other life stressors.
