Dr. Jennifer Marceron
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Psychologists
Dr. Marceron’s approach is empathetic and client-centered and she uses evidence-based practices (treatment modalities that are supported by research) tailored to meet the needs and interests of her clients. Dr. Marceron is active and engaged in her sessions and her personality is informal yet professional. Her clients describe her as approachable, non-judgemental, and warm. She focuses on helping her clients gain an understanding of and learn how to improve/cope with their symptoms such that their initial concerns no longer hold them back in personal goals. She finds the most success with clients who are willing to: try new things, consider new perspectives, take action on topics discussed in sessions, and provide feedback about what works well in the therapeutic work and what does not.
Dr. Marceron values collaborative work, meaning she values feedback in the therapeutic process and will make adjustments depending on what works well for you. Often, Dr. Marceron will work with her clients to identify “homework” to try outside of session. For example, if you discuss feeling dismissed by your partner, you and Dr. Marceron may come up with strategies for having a conversation with your partner about how you feel and what to ask for moving forward.
In her work with you, Dr. Marceron will pledge her empathy, honesty, and fidelity to be with you every step of the way.
Dr. Marceron completed several of her training positions in college counseling centers and greatly enjoys working with college and graduate students.
Dr. Marceron believes therapy can be a helpful tool to cope with stressors, enhance relationship quality, reduce unpleasant psychological symptoms, and achieve life goals. She also believes that therapy can be helpful to enhance quality of life and help her clients reach their maximum potential!
