Jennifer Knapp, LCSW
Life can be filled with a variety of stressors that can make finding happiness and hope difficult – but help is available. I have over 15 years of experience working with youth, adult and families in a variety of settings and can provide specialized, client-centered and strength focused therapeutic treatments to meet my client’s needs. I have extensive experience of supporting teens and young adults ages 14 to 21 who are experiencing self-harming/suicidal ideation, anxiety, and depression. Recognizing that this can impact the family unit, I offer family support when working with youth clients. I also find that I enjoy supporting women who are going through challenging situations such as life changes, health concerns, and career transitions.
I am versed in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy & Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also certified in Trauma Center -Trauma Sensitive Yoga, an additional tool clients can use to support their emotional healing. This specialized approach can be provided to clients who are not only working with me, but who are also doing therapeutic work with another mental health professional.
My approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, and kind, and I am able form genuine relationships with my clients. Seeking support can be an intimidating experience, and I am here to support you every step of the way on your individualized journey to wellness. Positive changes can take time and effort, but no matter what your story may be, I am confident that together you can find growth and healing!
