Ever been in a situation where you felt like there was no escape? No where to run. No where to hide? Most importantly no one to talk to? When asked why I wanted to be a therapist, my reason why is for those individuals who feel as though there is nowhere to go. My why is for those who lost sight of happy endings because they have grown up through survival instead of being nurtured. My why is for those who feel trapped in discomfort and suffocated from their anxiety. My why is for you.
My therapeutic world involves person-centered that involves openness, empathy, flexibility, and vulnerability. I also stem from a cognitive behavioral approach along with Play therapy. My population ranges from children ranging from 6-18 years while also working with their families.
The first thing that I love to acknowledge is the amount of bravery it takes to make that first step, and as we start this journey, you are never alone. I am excited to be joining you on this journey of rebuilding!
