Janeane Grisez

Hello, I'm Janeane. As a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist, Licensed Independent Clinical Counselor with Supervision designation, and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with both Clinical Supervision and Gambling Endorsement, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Psychology from Lake Erie College, a Master's Degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ursuline College, and Post-Master's education in Sex Therapy from the Ohio Center for Relationship and Sexual Health. Additionally, I'm a trained Sex Therapist, which allows me to support clients through a wide range of intimate and relational issues.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, sex-positive, and kink-friendly. I believe in creating a space for authentic conversations that are affirming, informative, and shame-free. Whether you're dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, or navigating life transitions, I am here to support you. My experience spans community mental health, forensic work, inpatient substance use and mental health, school-based settings, and working with LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized populations.

I have had the privilege of working on specialized projects, such as acting as a collaborating investigator for the DSM-5 with the American Psychiatric Association and developing programming for an outpatient substance use program. Currently, I serve as the President of the Buckeye Art Therapy Association, which keeps me engaged with the latest developments in the field.

I believe that everyone should have access to mental health care to live a healthy, happy life. I utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring that our work is both effective and meaningful.
