Jamie Gardella, Ph.D.
College can be an incredibly exciting time with new connections and independence. Even so, students may struggle to manage intense academic pressure and uncertainty about long-term goals. It is also not uncommon to feel isolated and anxious as you adapt to a new social context, where it may feel difficult to make friends and feel sense of belonging. You may also find yourself grappling with your sexual or gender identity, as well as more general questions about your values and beliefs.
I specialize in supporting young adults as they find their footing during this critical life transition. I tailor treatment to each person using evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We'll work together to identify your core values and use them as a compass for your decisions, rather than letting anxiety or self-doubt guide you.
I have extensive experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and am passionate about creating an inclusive space where all students feel seen and heard.
